Golden Age Kid Komics: Volume 2
Midcentury Comics #359 - Issues #6-10 of this Early Golden Age Masterpiece!
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
These were critical times in the history of our country and the comics – we were at war! Everyone had to do their part, including the sidekicks. When you think of it, sidekicks work a lot harder than their more-famous adult counterparts. After all, not only did they assist the big guy on his adventures, but they often had their own solo stories – and then they got together with other sidekicks and fought villains again! So, if you're a member of the Golden Age YOUNG ALLIES --- Bucky, Toro the Flame Boy, Knuckles, Jeff, Tubby and Whitewash – you don't sleep a lot! Neither will you when you hold this exciting series in your hands! KID KOMICS had a short run in the 40s (10 issues, 1943-1946), but packed a lot of amazing features written by legends (Stan lee, Otto Binder, to name a couple) and drawn by legends (Infantino, Kane, Shores, Schomburg, Rico, Giacoia, Powell, and even a little Wolverton). Along with the YOUNG ALLIES it featured other great adventures and humor – and even a little bit of Vision, The Destroyer, Sub-Mariner and Captain America! This is an incredible piece of comics history!
This series is not politically correct or socially acceptable. The characters are stereotypes in every conceivable way. But we're not going to change the history of our culture by ignoring it, so we present this as it was, scars and all.
