This is the amazing under-appreciated SADDLE JUSTICE – six issues in what has come to be known as the PRE-TREND era of EC Comics. While not part of the mainstream EC collections, true comic mavens would never miss this thrilling set of masterful western stories. The artists were some of the best of the day in the genre, including Graham Ingles, Al Feldstein, Johnny Craig, Henry Kiefer and others. Even the coloring, sometimes a back-seat passenger in Golden Age comics, is second to none. This series took over from the humor title Happy Houlihans, and after six issues became Saddle Romance before continuing the numbering with Weird Science – but it was only these half-dozen amazing months it was the great SADDLE JUSTICE. NOTE: Two pages of #3 are taken from the color guides, because the original pages were damaged. Issue #8 has four pages in B&W, taken from original art because those page are not available. We hope these tiny variations will only add to your enjoyment, with their imperfect authenticity.
