ZIP-JET --- THE SUPERSONIC ENEMY OF EVIL!
He is “Tech” Carson, adventurer and inventor; she is his assistant Pat Dale. Armed with his three-cartridge jet-pack, Carson fights against evil as ZIP-JET, with Pat as his sidekick. Villains, among the most diabolical in the world, alongside their goals of domination and ill-gotten gains, have vowed to kill this hero and his faithful partner. He is known as the first man to fly without wings, and for two exciting issues ZIP-JET, drawn mostly by the expert pen of Ruben Moreira, zoomed across the comic pages!
Repurposing characters may seem unthinkable today, but in the Golden Age and shortly after, it was not uncommon. ZIP-JET (1953) is a renamed, and significantly reworked version of ROCKETMEN from Punch Comics and Scoop Comics from the 1940s. The cover for ZIP-JET #1 is actually the original splash page from his story as ROCKETMAN in Dynamic Comics #10.
PLUS --- The exciting one-shot MAN O'MARS (1953) – the story of a Martian invasion in the year 2036 and the hero resurrected to save the planet!
