Palestinian Graffiti & Cartoons

Throughout the whole period of the Israeli Occupation, Palestinian art has continued to express the feelings of its people and their yearning for a better future and a country of their own. Their art covers the whole gamut of the very meaning of the word “art” and encompasses everything from the classical Palestinian paintings, through the evocative photographs, the graffiti, the cartoons, the children’s drawings and everything in between. This book concentrates mainly on the grass roots sort of art, the cartoons, the graffiti, and the photographs - but a few conventional paintings are also included for interest. This volume is merely a collection of images that I have collected over the years and some that have been sent to me by people who know of my interest in the subject. Rather than just keeping the images on my own computer, I decided to put them in a book format to share with anyone who may be interested.
