This novel attacks every preconceived notion you might have about reading, writing and thinking. There is a skeletal narrative, but its ultimate purpose is the overthrow of convention and the deconstruction of routine.
It's 1999, and events are at critical mass. At the center of this tumult is a dying friendship, sparked by an inanimate question, and a protagonist who is a participating witness to the relationship’s decay. Its beginnings and slow, purposeless conflagration weigh heavily on him...and his responses to the situation propel the thrust of this novel, to every degree.
"Frivolous Dissolve" is a diatribe: angry, confusing, selfish, and self-righteous. And though its words clash together to form a sort of dialectic puzzle, though its actions and thoughts split and conflict, and though reality is never immediate, there is still an underlying current of hope that ultimately propels the novel to its deserved finish.
