This book is the successor to Mike Bell's 2019 book Who Are Those Guys? and the follow-up Watching the Detectives, which explored the creation and operation of the Union Pacific's Mounted Rangers, popularly known as the Bandit Hunters. This expanded and revised work includes much more information on the five attacks on the Union Pacific between 1892 and 1900 that led to the formation of the Bandit Hunters, as well as more information on the men who served in the unit. The book also solves the mystery of the date and location of the famous photographs that were taken to promote the Bandit Hunters.
