COIL BOUND VERSION
NOTE: THIS IS A GAME FOR 2 PLAYERS
Great for travel or quick sessions, Beaches and Bunkers is a light dice placement/allocation game for two players which loosely represents the beach landings in Normandy and the Pacific Islands by Allied forces during World War Two. Each landing is designed to be small-scale and represents perhaps one or two boats landing on specific sections of the beaches. The various landings represented try to reflect some of the actual situations and events as they happened, but this is meant to be an accessible game which is quick and easy to play and so it is not a complex simulation. One player controls the Allied units making their way up the beach, and the other controls the Axis bunker(s) which are trying to stop them.
There are 10 beaches in the game, including Utah, Gold, Juno, Omaha, Sword, Pointe du Hoc, Iwo Jima and Tarawa. You will need to add six standard dice and 12 small tokens or counters of any kind.
Complexity: 1/5
Time per game: 10-15 minutes
