Bible Zoology

People are always fascinated with animals. This is only natural since the animals were created for man's use and enjoyment. Since the existence of man is intertwined with the physical world in which he dwells, it is only natural that animals should play a significant role in the history of the world, much of which is recorded in the Word of God. The use of animals in the Bible both as a means of sustaining life and as a means of teaching God's truth is apparent to even the casual reader. Quite often animals are used symbolically in Scripture as a means of enhancing understanding by com-paring the sublime to the mundane. For that reason it is useful to study Bible fauna.
