Excerpt: But in the process, she realized that she had lost something else. She wasn't able to maintain much of a social life. She had thrown herself so completely into her work that there was very little time for anything else. She recognized that, in addition to possessing a beautiful face, she had fantastic physical equipment as well. Her breasts and legs were tapered to perfection on her five-foot, three inch frame. As she walked to the room of young John Lefevre, a eighteen-year-old patient that she was nursing back to health, she wondered just where her life was going. Handsome young interns made passes at her all the time, but she was forever fearful of letting her guard down. She had been unswervingly dedicated toward her work, and that was where her thoughts remained. If she ever veered from the straight and narrow, she thought, she might very well perform something less than diligently on the job.
