By 2050 the United States adopted a 2 president and 2 government system. There now exist a robot president and a human president; and a robot government and a human government. Congress is split evenly 50/50 between the robot race and the human race in terms of power voting rights and representation, and they work together to run the country. Their goal is for peaceful co-existence between humans and robots, despite their differences. Why 2 presidents? Why not have one president, and that seat can be taken by a human or robot? The answer is that the robot president has special abilities that the human president doesn’t have. The robot president can use time dilation in the robot realm, and extend time. For instance, one second can be extended to 30 years of robot time or artificial time. In the case of a one second war, the robot president can be notified immediately by the robot military (through the signalless internet), and then the robot president will transport his mind into the virtual world where time is artificially extended. The time dilation is set to 30 years inside the virtual world is equivalent to 1 second in the real world, and all events and robots in this virtual world are accelerated. The robot president can talk for 1 hour with his cabinet members and military commanders to design a plan against the enemy. Next the plan is executed in the real world to resolve the threat. It took 30 days, from start to end, for the Robot United States to end the war, but only 1 second has passed in the real world. By the way, a “1 second war” is when the United States is attacked and defeated by a foreign power in less than 1 second using Lightspeed robots, robots that can think and move at the speed of light, (that’s 10 laps around the Earth in less than 1 second). In order for the United States to deal with a 1 second robot war, the robot president is needed. In a 1 second war the human president is useless, and is frozen, and doesn’t have the means of making critical decisions for the country in that 1 second.
