The future of the smartphone
In 2026 the smartphone to most in the public eye would say it’s a very powerful tool for information and work. However, let’s focus on what the current smartphones can’t do. It doesn’t have the ability to generate forcefields to protect the user from harm. If a bullet was fired at the user, the smartphone doesn’t have the ability to protect the user from certain death or bodily harm. I think security is a feature the smartphone should have, and smartphone makers worldwide are probably trying to do research and development into this now.
AI invulnerability is what it’s called. You want the user to be protected by any weapons or even accidents. The smartphone has AI to identify danger in its immediate surroundings and to have the faculties to eliminate the danger to both the user of the smartphone and the smartphone itself. AI invulnerability includes protection from guns, bombs, knife slashes, lasers, fire, impact forces, flying shrapnels, acid, gravitational forces, deep falls, even nuclear explosions. Artificial forcefields generated remotely from the smartphone is used to protect the user and the smartphone. Imagine the smartphone as being a living machine or a sentient entity. It is terrified of death or harm just like the human user. The smartphone needs the ability to protect itself and the human user.
