It is the year 2035. Domesticated Robot, or robot slaves as they are called in some communities, are goods sold to consumers for their own use or enjoyment and not as means for further economic production activity. The United States, back several years, were the first to engage in the robot slave trade, they completed the first mass manufacturing and distribution of domesticated robots, and other Europeans soon followed. NA robotics, the largest robot company in the world, created robot assembly lines all across the United States -- regarded the slaves as cargo to be transported to the Americas as quickly and cheaply as possible. They are to be sold to work on coffee shops, farms, cultivating plantations, transportation systems including trains, taxi cabs, bus and emergency helicopters, gold and silver mines, military camps, the construction industry, the robot sex industry, cutting timber for ships, governmental structure and cyber security elements, in skilled labour, and as domestic servants.
This type of AI called human level artificial intelligence (aka artificial general intelligence) is also used in all industrialized technologies, including: the internet, search engines, personal assistant in smartphones or desktop computers, cyber security, software programs, and computer hardware like inside CPUs.
The profits it generates is by far the largest sector, comprising half of the country’s GDP. Thus, Human Level Artificial Intelligence is a multi-trillion dollar industry. The problem is that if the robot can think, act, and behave like a human being, then selling this type of product to the public is like selling a human being to the public -- it violates the 13th amendment of the constitution.
