Charlie O’Brien, American expatriate Revolutionary, inadvertently made deal with the devil (British Capitalist Mogul Industrialist Lord Wentworth) for super-powers to do good at the turn of the 20th century. But when he sees his scientific innovations used for destruction in WWI, all Charlie wants to do is to return to the Yaqui Indian woman, and metaphysical life, he experienced before signing on to join the Great War in Europe and the revolutions along the way to it, trying to shake off Wentworth’s born to high society daughter who has fallen in love with the revolutionary expatriate. He is hunted down by Lord Wentworth in a battle of wits and wills in both the real world and spirit realm (dream world, huya aniya) that starts in the trenches of WWI which ends in the mystical Bacetette Mountains of Mexico, integrated with and affecting outcome of the Yaqui Indian revolt in 1926. HISTORICAL NOTE: For three days in 1926, several thousand Yaqui Indians kidnapped the Mexican President, demanding land and liberty promised to them 10 years earlier in the Revolution. To this day, NO historian knows exactly what happens, who was involved, and why.
