The stories in Carrot Sticks explore patterns of risk-taking, obedience and self-doubt as they reoccur and are transmitted across forty years and two generations. Humorous and darkly optimistic, they ultimately conclude that through the force of will-power, progress is possible, even if that progress is sometimes comically small.
This is the first collection of stories from Molly McIntyre, who received her MFA in studio art from Maine College of Art.
