Middle School Guided Notebook

This workbook is designed for students to use to take notes on common terms learned in English Language Arts class. It is perfect for students who are just learning how to take notes or need extra help with organization. Topics that are covered include MLA format, the Writing Process, common figurative language devices, parts of speech, common punctuation, plot, theme, and more. The parts of speech come with not only a practice worksheet but one of Aesop's Fables that they can read and answer questions in regards to the part of speech they are learning. The Table of Contents is left blank, so students fill it in as they go to become more familiar with the book and to keep track of what topics they have covered. A number of blank lined pages in the back allow students to take additional notes about topics not covered in the book and keep all of their notes together. Most pages are open-ended, so teachers can choose what specific definitions they want their students to use.
