“A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.” ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe I'm not one of those poets who experience their lives from comfortable armchairs in warm houses; I live naked life. I've experienced it with the undeniable reality of tiny details. Telling the story of a dead cat you found in the road is one thing, but making me feel the loss its owner felt or making me worry for the kittens it must have hidden somewhere is another thing. I don't know about anyone else, but I absolutely adore the unique characters in my poetry. But I watch all of them through hell, and I present them in their real situation. I often wonder if they could look up at me and ask, "Why? What did I do that would make you hate me so much? Why do you hurt me?" What would I say to them? What possible answer can I give them to justify what I've done to them? Ultimately, I can only smile back at them and say, "My loving child, you've done absolutely nothing wrong. Absolutely nothing wrong. But I'm trying to tell an amazing story that I hope will inspire others around us. And I need someone really strong to carry the burden. "And then I created you, my beautiful child, because I see you as the only one strong enough to endure the ugliness I need to bring into this story. "No, you deserve none of this. But I picked you to endure it. I picked you because I have faith in you. I picked you to carry the seed of love and forgiveness into the barrenest of places. I chose you to create flowers in the places where flowers still refuse to grow. "No matter what happens in this world, LOVE WINS. And I choose you to show the world my message.
