The Green Phoenix

This is the story of a young, thirteen-year-old boy named Dougal, who, through sheer fate, was destined to become the Earth's Protector. He and his grandfather (Gramps) were the only inhabitants of a beautiful little island called Weemuckle off the West coast of Scotland. Dougal is a bright, hard-working lad who excels in every school task given. His grandfather, a retired sea Captain, sails him to school in their boat, 'The Condor', five days a week. Our story starts on a Saturday when Dougal is fishing about two miles off their island.
