The story picks up with the events that take place after Delano and the others escaped the village. Delano is faced with taking care of Conner who had been severely injured. He and the others must try to remain safe from those who may try to hunt them down. Moments of devastation will leave some at their breaking point. It will be one of the most challenging times of their lives.
