This book is a concise monograph concerning the present state of the group of theories produced by the Simplebrain (SB) research programme.
Simplebrain theory has been developed over many years. It always has two major components: ideas about the way human memory functions; and the way such ideas may lead to the design of electronic memory systems. Each component illuminates and guides the advance of the other. One component is also used to criticise the other. No electronic solution is allowed that does not follow closely the theory of the biological brain. This defines the, possibly new, academic area of Electronic Brain Technology (EBT) of which Simplebrain is seen as a sub-field.
