I Lost My Brave

"I Lost My Brave" is a story about a boy who is so scared that he decides to stay in bed with the covers over his head. However, his dog entices him outside to search for his brave. The boy is about to run back to bed when the dog hears a baby bird crying. The bird, like the boy, is scared. He doesn't want to leave his nest. The child and dog talk the bird out of the tree and, sure enough, he learns to fly. Bird, Boy and Dog are overjoyed. Bird's triumph gives the boy courage. Instead of returning to bed, Boy and Dog plan a big adventure.
