In Albany County, New York State the first "house of worship" was constructed in McKownville in the town of Guilderland in 1866 by the Guilderland Methodist Episcopal Church in cooperation with the trustees of the Second M.E. Mission church of the town of Guilderland. Subsequent houses of worship were constructed in 1898 and 1960 for what is now McKownville United Methodist Church. The church's stained glass windows are part of the worship experience in glorying God.
This illustrated publication tells about the windows in the current sanctuary (with pictures) and provides a sample of windows elsewhere with history notes.
