As an atheist, I question a large majority of the doctrine that certain religions attempt to bestow onto their followers and others, and in a world where so many different beliefs are demonizing one another in spite of their obvious similarities, it frustrates me to see how one can twist and bend the meaning of sacred texts into something that does not even come close to the words themselves. Thus, in my frustration, I am telling this story, short but precise. In the beginning, I asked myself: ''What if all religions are correct? What if there is more than one single divine entity that is controlling the universe? What if each deity from each faith are cooperating in balancing out the fate of humanity? And what if the humans, who were seemingly raised from the pre-existing physical elements by the unified hands of these deities, initiated an unjust quarrel amongst themselves over which of the deities was the true one?'' ''Our Overlords'' is not a critique of religion, but a question challenging its unneeded disunity and segregation. For something that is intended to unite us, it seems to be doing the opposite. / Nat Isaacs
