Three Ghosts examines the dichotomy that exists in the mythos of Christmas. Some have only positive associations, while others find Christmas to be one of the darkest times of the year. Three Ghosts shows both the dark and light side of Christmas by juxtaposing themes of materialism, infidelity, and addiction with family, romance, and religion.
