Savior Savior

When a mysterious anomaly appears in space near the earth, cold war suspicions force the United States to send pilot Garth Hanson and a small crew to investigate in a special orbiter called Prometheus. With instructions to identify and destroy the anomaly, Garth fires a nuclear weapon into it with disastrous consequences. Garth and his crew vanish, provoking the steady simmer of international tensions into a final confrontation. Meanwhile, the crew of Promethus gradually realize they have been hurled five thousand years into the past. Returning to an ancient earth in turmoil, Garth struggles to defend his crew and his basic assumptions about God. When one of his crew mates is kidnapped, Garth is forced to mount a dangerous rescue mission. Looming natural catastrophe, war, and the devastating anomaly overtake Garth and his crew, even as he learns about how the world is really being saved.
