Hitchhiker

Nadia leaves her family home and sets out to hitchhike across Canada, heading towards Vancouver Island, where the climate is inviting and her future looks promising. Along the way, she discovers that people can be kind and respectful. Yet, she also faces the harsh reality of trying to build a life at 19 and as a woman. Nadia ends up in the tent city in Victoria, where life is tough and the winter is wet and cold. The other residents of the tent city tempt her to abandon her principles in exchange for warmth, food, and shelter. Can Nadia cling to her dreams despite these challenges?
