Aurora

In a tree, high above a grand forest, a bird sings. The forest is a carpet of colours across the island and birds of all shapes and sizes sing in the dawn light. The loudest song comes from the hawk in the highest tree; it is a hawk like no one has ever seen before. The hawk knows that no other hawk would dare to sing even to themselves, but this hawk sings above the grand forest loves to sing as much as it loves to fly. When the humans arrived on the island below it, it sang along to their songs and flew in the music they strung around themselves. But one day, when the hawk found a lone human at the edge of the forest the song that came from it was so sad and so lonely that the hawk's heart almost broke in sorrow…
