Wellness Journal

A daily habit tracker and journal

ByNikki Watson

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This wellness journal was designed to provide an easy way to support mindfulness and track habits and experiences, while incorporating a daily task list so you can get stuff done. The journal has three templates: a blank checklist, for you to capture your broader goals, guided journal pages with three months of daily prompts, and modified dot grid note pages for freeform journaling. The daily prompts in this journal are divided into five sections: Starting fresh, Tracking, Important/urgent tasks, Additional tasks that got done, and Winding down. Starting fresh prompts you to consider your feelings, behaviours, and thoughts upon starting your day, followed by acknowledging the things you're grateful for and identifying a theme or goal for the day. Important/urgent tasks is a checklist inspired by the idea of IBNU (important but not urgent). Too often, we prioritise the urgent tasks over the important ones, resulting in bigger problems when the important tasks don't get done. This checklist is prefaced with the letters I and U to help you get the right things done. When filling it out, consider whether the task is important, urgent, or both (and why). Consider using the blank checklists at the front of this journal to capture what you consider to be important. Additional tasks that got done is a section for you to record the things you achieved that weren’t on your to-do list, so you can look back and see how you’ve spent your time, but also to acknowledge that even when you didn’t check off an item on your to-do list, you still got things done. Tracking prompts you to track key measures for physical wellness, such as hydration, nutrition, exercise, self-care activities, and any other habits you'd like to establish or maintain. Winding down revisits your feelings, behaviours and thoughts before reflecting on and processing the day's events. The final prompt asks "What meaning can I find today?" to help make connections, shift perspectives, or understand yourself a little better. The pages in the second half of the journal use a modified dot grid, which provides more obvious baselines for writing than a traditional dot grid, while still offering a gridded guide for bullet journaling and similar practices. Each journal page is numbered so you can insert the page reference in your daily journal or create an index to easily find your work later.
