This book was translated into Russian in 2009 for specific teaching purposes. Along the way, Pascal-to-Modula-2-to-Oberon conversion typos were corrected and some changes to programs were made. The changes (localized in sects. 1 and 3) were agreed upon with the author in April, 2009. their purpose was to facilitate verification of the program examples: they are now in perfect running order. Most notably, section 1.9 now uses the Dijkstra loop introduced in Oberon-07 (see Appendix C).
