It is1822 – solicitor Rupert Mansie must travel from England to Deepest Darkest Africa to seek out his client, Lord Travillion Colebridge. He is to convey the sad news that his Lordship's wife, Lady Abigail – who Rupert himself deeply loved – is deceased. During the voyage, Rupert's ship is wrecked off the coast of Western Sahara and he is rescued and taken as a slave. Subjected to, thirst, hunger, cruel desert sun and brutal barbaric treatment at the hands of a sadistic slave-master. Through this Rupert endures all only for the nocturnal visitation of Abigail's spectre, a female Incubus, and their illicit love affair from beyond the grave. ––“Things were done in that netherworld; things that could not have come from my own imagination; things that so revolted and appalled me that their origins must surely lie outside my comprehension of the acts of human procreation."
