Better Angels

Penny Page, a disabled woman, living in the rural South, and struggling to raise a rebellious teen, faces deep emotional stress over details of a racially motivated murder. When evidence brings the crime close to home, eerie dreams of Abraham Lincoln in a pre and post war South haunt her nights as the determination to find the truth plagues her days. When the two intertwine, she becomes unable to distinguish one from the other rendering her unprepared for the shocking and unexpected reality. After all, nothing is what it seems when the only boundary between past and present is daylight.
