As a pastor’s wife of a Christian church called Divine Revelations, Harris conducted worship services filled with the Holy Spirit. Although they seemed like a united power couple to their congregation and those around them, what others didn’t see was that her husband was competitive, combative and belittling. Although he was verbally abusive to those around him most days, the author says Sundays were the worst and her husband was especially hard on her and their son Loren. The journey to healing was rough, but Harris shares what it was like after she finally decided she needed to make a change.
