the ghostmaster

ByPAUL GLENN-JONES

A LONELY HAUNTED FEELING PRESSED INWARDS GRIPPING AND CHILLING. THE WIND HOWLED AND SWIRLED,GUSTING TO AND FRO,THIS WAY AND THAT,LIKE A HOARD OF UNSETTLED SPIRITS. TREES CREAKED AND MOANED AS THEY GAVE WAY TO THE ONSLAUGHT.THEY WISHED THEY COULD FIND SOME SHELTER FROM THE BITING RAIN WHICH BATTERED THEM UNCARINGLY AND FELT LIKE A THOUSAND PINS OR NEEDLES TAUNTING THEM FROM ALL SIDES. A CRACK OF LIGHTNING PIERCED THE SKY, FOLLOWED QUICKLY BY RUMBLING THUNDER.A JACKAL HOWLED INTO THE NIGHT,ONLY TO BE ECHOED BY TWO OTHER SCREAMS. THE FIRST BELONGED TO A WOMAN ,OBVIOUSLY IN GREAT PAIN,THE SECOND WAS THE SOUND OF A NEW BORN CHILD. WHAT WOULD THE BIRTH OF THIS EVIL ENTITY WHO BECAME KNOWN AS THE GHOSTMASTER MEAN TO THE PEOPLE OF KHALANDIR?
