Most parameters that must be satisfied in this approach to church design, involve the specific way or ways in which the users of the building interact with their God. This will be both in regard to how they believe salvation or righteousness is achieved, and how they worship Him as they seek to interact with God on a ongoing basis. This may involve the order and relationship of specific spaces within the structure, and possibly even the overall form the structure should take. Decisions may be as small as designing spaces to accommodate specific furniture and functions. Because designers cannot be expected to be knowledgeable about such things, without being part of such a culture, clients have a certain responsibility to inform designers of all such needs that should be addressed.
Designers, at least those who strongly desire not to offend clients from a culture which may be outside of their experience, also bear responsibility. It is important to learn as much as possible regarding client needs, before attempting to address them through design of a worship facility.
