Some African people tried to resist to White people and the tribe is known to have savagely resisted and led several revolts against English people. The White boy is the only survivor of an attack of the tribe against an English safari and he is promised to an horrible death by tortures because the tribal are full of hate for White people. Their god is the Leopard God and for that reason leopard skins are the only clothes they wear. Basumo is a proud and insolent young gay warrior and he fonded for the White prisoner at the first sight so he decided to resist the chief Kimando and against his commanded. For African tribes, like for the antic German of North of Europe during Roman Empire, the chief is chosen and protected by the gods; so his defeat and his death during a fight significated the gods disliked him and had chosen the winner to take his place.
