DIVORCE: The big picture

A long-standing opinion, still common today, is that Jesus allows only one reason for divorce –– adultery. Divorces for any other reasons are regarded as illegitimate and both partners are said to be still married in the eyes of God. Therefore any remarriage after unlawful divorce is claimed to be another form of adultery. Those views are seriously wrong! They violate the truth in both Old and New Testaments.
