The sedate but functional Aermacchi MB 336 jet trainer enjoyed sales around the world. It possessed ease of handling and ability to carry a wide range of ordance when adopted for the ground-attack role for a number of smaller air arms, Its uprated MB 339 was also well received but did not achieve the same amount of sales.
