Canadair Firefighter

At one time fire-fighting from the air was mainly the domain of converted bombers and transports but Canadair designed and built a purpose built airplane capable of operating from any available stretch of water and able to scoop vast amounts of water into its belly tanks while skimming the surface so that it could drop on the affected areas in its bid to quell the fires.
