Know Your Spitfire

With more than sixty books published on this supreme fighter it is almost superfluous to produce another article on the airplane but the object of this ebook is to enable the newcomer to the subject of aviation history and the young boys grappling with the subject, it is a historical overview of the Spits evolution and to enable easy identification though the various Merlin-engined variants to the massive Griffon-engined airplanes that appeared post-WW II that were in effect completely different airplanes to the tiny Type 300 prototype created by Reginald Mitchell in 1935. Details of the FAA SEafire are also included.
