A Handbook for Program Planning in Dramatic Arts

Written by Ron Dodson, and Peter Moore, this 138-page book was published by the Upper Canada DSB and CODE (the Council of Ontario Drama and Dance Educators) in 2002, and updated in 2004. In 11 chapters, A Handbook for Program Planning in Dramatic Arts helps teachers place the Ontario Curriculum for Dramatic Arts in the context of effective practice. Moving from the "macro" view of Program Planning to the "micro" system of shifts in individual courses, chapter titles include Program Scope and Sequence, Assessment and Evaluation, Learning Skills, Arts Literacy and many others. Self-reflection questions and worksheets help guide the reader's thinking. An interactive workshop is available to support the ideas presented in the book and to move teachers forward proactively.
