A Strange World

We are going to a planet named Ilion which is in the galaxy called Yodon. This Galaxy is extremely far away from the Milky Way galaxy. This planet had many similarities to Earth. For instance, it had oil reserves which fueled its automobiles, aircraft etc. Over hundreds of years, the oil reserves began to deplete. And after some time, it completely exhausted its oil supply. That said, they had many other alternative sources of energy. But over the years, those too were destroyed either in the war or by wear and tear. For the past few decades, the only source of energy came from a nuclear reactor. But this nuclear reactor could function only with a peculiar mechanism which looks like a huge cylindrical rod...
