Philip J. Carcia is a hiker, runner, and performance artist who has logged nearly 30,000 miles on some of the country’s most difficult and remote trails. In the Northeast specifically, Carcia is best known for completing the White Mountain Grid in a single year, the White Mountain Guidebook in a single summer, holding the Fastest Known Time for a winter round of the NH48, five completions of the White Mountain Direttissima, and a wide variety of other hyper-niche projects that prioritize creativity alongside athleticism and endurance.
In 2026, Philip will once again push the boundaries of what’s been done in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with two iconic multi-week endurance projects. If you’d like to read more about what Philip has in store and help get these efforts off the ground, you can connect with him on social media as @findingphilip.
