Jane Reith - BBC Foreign Correspondent

BBC foreign correspondent Jane Reith is assigned to cover a popular uprising in Central America; against a British-backed autocrat, Senora Maya. Jane’s undercover lover from MI6 warns her not to accept an invitation from Senora Maya to travel in her limousine, as she flees towards bordering British Protectorate Territory. The road convoy is intercepted by forces of the New Liberal Democratic Republic and Jane is apprehended. Interrogated by Sandra Gomez, a media-studies graduate with unorthodox theories about the conduct of post-colonial cyber-warfare, Jane is horrified at the prospect of being used as a pawn to embarrass the Foreign Office; until she recognizes an opportunity to report on a British black-op, which the BBC would not normally reveal to the public.
