The question could be asked, what does it mean to be free? Some would answer that it means there are no rules. Some may say that freedom is being able to do whatever we want. But the problem is that neither of these are true freedom. Scripture presents freedom as being found only in Jesus. The scripture tells us that freedom occurs when we become servants of Jesus. Freedom means to be set free from the curse of sin; to be free in Christ. In this understanding, I want us to begin the process of digging into the subject of freedom based on the foundation of scripture. Because freedom is not real freedom if it is not found in Christ.
