Ramsko is an Austrian-Hungarian artist and art figure who mailny works withhin the spectrum of painting. First she started off with a series of glitter paintings, but is now focused on oil painting, drawing and photography works. This book is focused on the body of work which she calls Symbolfields (ger.Symbolfelder) or Fields of Fate (ger. Schicksalsfelder) which mainly consist of oil paintings. What is a Symbolfeld? A Symbol Field initially was an artistic world built on simple, two-dimensional landscapes—a gras square, a blue sky—serving as a stage for symbols. Objects, human figures, and plants are placed like cards in a deck, open to interpretation. Over time, the figures became more dynamic, interacting with each other. Often showing the artist, Ramsko, they reflect personal exploration and invite viewers to see themselves in the work. More than just images, Symbol Fields are spaces for reflection, escape, and self-exploration—offering both a place for confrontation with emotions and societal themes. This book is a collection of the works made with this idea of the Symbolfield, from the beginning of it until Spring 2025.
