Web Ontology Reasoning with Logic Databases

This book introduces reasoning with Web ontologies in logic databases. The book shows how the Semantic Web technology can be implemented with off-the-shelf open source databases. The book focuses largely on the Web ontology language (OWL), an international standard that has been defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The book provides a wealth of practical information and describes the implementation of the approach in the open source KAON framework.
