The Field Guide to the Rather Roundtable

If you have ever participated in an interactive work of art, you are well aware of the complexity of the social contract going into those spaces and making those kinds of choices. At times what we refer to as ‘interactive’ art may feel more democratically oriented to some viewers, while still not considered a viable artistic strategy by others. The seven artists from this group show organized in New Brunswick, New Jersey, have incorporated the processes of user generated, or user friendly works of art. The artists included in this exhibition are Russ Anderson, Heather Hart, Joelle Howald, Morgan Page, Tom Russotti, Nathan Shafer and Shane Whilden. This book also includes contributions by Mary Tinti, Pablo Helguera, Sara Reisman, Rocio Aranda-Alvarado, Scott Rigby and Dean Daderko.
