BATTLE STORIES VOLUME ONE BLACK & WHITE EDITION
COLLECTING ISSUES #1-6 RETRO COMIC REPRINTS #751
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In January of 1952 the Korean War was raging and American soldiers were in the thick of it.
Although World War Two featured prominently in many of their titles, Fawcett Comics only
published a few actual war comic titles and BATTLE STORIES covered the grueling combat of the
Korean War. Whether the battles were on the ground, the sea or the air BATTLE STORIES covered
them. BATTLE STORIES lasted eleven issues and was created by a host of talented creators
including George Evans, Bob Powell, Mike Sekowsky, Mike Peppe, Clem Weisbecker, Carl Pfeufer,
Joe Certa and Ken Battefield.
This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are
over seventy years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as
possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be
considered when judging the overall contents. The stories here were created in a less enlightened
time and there are some images that may offend modern readers.
THIS BOOK IS AVAILABLE IN BOTH HARDCOVER AND TRADE PAPERBACK EDITIONS AS WELL AS IN
EITHER FULL COLOR OR BLACK & WHITE.
