COLLECTING ISSUES #7-11 RETRO COMIC REPRINTS #880
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Army private Jane Whirly is bright, funny and cute as a button. G.I. Jane also has a habit of finding
herself in hot water with regulations which she often humorously charms her way out of. She and
her fellow soldiers, Katie and Patti, maneuver through their enlistments having as much fun as
possible. Join them along with G.I. Jane’s on again, off again boyfriend Tommy, The Sarge and P.X.
Pete as they turn the Army and the reader upside down with laughter.
G.I. Jane was written by Hal Seeger who later went on to create his animation studio where he was
the show runner on Milton the Monster, Batfink and Fearless Fly cartoons. Artist Bill Willaims had
his start in animation working on the Disney films Dumbo and Fantasia. He also worked on the
Henry Aldrich Comics and the Dennis the Menace comic strip.
This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are over
seventy years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but
not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when
judging the overall contents. The stories here were created in a less enlightened time and there are
some images that may offend modern readers.
