THE BOXING GAZETTE is a celebration of the pugilistic sport and the men who participated in it. Along with fictional comic tales there are many true life stories of these mighty gladiators. FIGHT COMICS had an ongoing series spotlighting both famous and not so famous boxers. These featured many names that are renowned throughout the sport. Some of the boxing legends include Joe Louis (who appears a couple of time in this book), Jack Dempsey, John L. Sullivan, and Gene Tunney. If you are a sports fan, a comic book fan or even a history buff, the thirty-one two-fisted stories included in THE BOXING GAZETTE will knock you out. This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are over seventy years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents.
