BEWARE was a horror title that was initially published by Trojan Magazines in January of 1953. Trojan published issues #1-14 and then Merit unleashed issue #15 in May of 1955. Monsters, ghosts, demons, witches and vampires abound in the pages within, crafted by an impressive array of artists Harry Harrison, Myron Fass, Henry Kiefer and Roy Krenkel. BEWARE! Was not immune from controversy. Two issues of the series were used in the infamous book “Seduction Of The Innocent,” which attempted (and succeeded) to convince the public that comic books were dangerous. Terrifying tales of the macabre lie in wait within, so BEWARE! This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are over seventy years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents. The stories here were created in a less enlightened time and there are some images that may offend modern readers.
